Intensive therapy
Deep Healing for Sensitive Women Ready for Real Change
Intensive therapy offers a transformative alternative to traditional weekly counseling – immersive healing experiences designed specifically for sensitive women who are done settling for surface-level change. Are you tired of feeling like you're just going through the motions in your sessions? Ready to stop managing symptoms and actually heal the underlying wounds that keep you stuck? My therapy intensives provide the deep, focused work you need to create real transformation instead of incremental progress.
Intensive therapy might be exactly what you've been searching for if you're a woman who has always put everyone else first, stayed busy to avoid uncomfortable feelings, and found yourself wondering "what the hell am I even doing with my life?" I'm here to work with women who recognize these patterns in themselves and are ready to do something different. If you're done with the "good girl" routine and ready to reclaim your authentic self, intensive sessions provide the concentrated healing space to make that shift.
What Are Therapy Intensives?
Therapy intensives are concentrated, immersive healing experiences that span anywhere from half-day sessions to multi-day intensive courses. They are a premium offering and experience that goes far beyond standard sessions. Unlike traditional 50-minute weekly sessions, these programs allow us to dive deep into core issues without the constraint of a ticking clock.
Think of it this way: if regular therapy is like taking a gentle walk through your emotional landscape, intensives are guided expeditions to the places you've been avoiding. We're not just skimming the surface – we're going to the heart of what's been keeping you stuck. Intensives were created for the person who wants to dive deep into unblocking their foundational trauma memories which have created their negative core narrative. Intensives are an intentional sacred pause-almost like a “psychological surgery” day with the goal being to target as many core trauma wounds as possible in order to give you a “clearing” so that you can reenter your life as the person you were meant to be, without carrying all that has happened to you.
During intensive sessions, I use specialized approaches like Brainspotting, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Person-Centered Therapy to help you access and process experiences that might take months to reach in traditional weekly sessions. The extended timeframe allows your nervous system to settle into the work and create lasting change.
Intensive Course Offerings
Half-Day Intensives (4 Hours)
Perfect for focused work on specific patterns or challenges. Whether you're struggling with a particular relationship dynamic, making a major life decision, or processing specific trauma, half-day intensives provide deep exploration without overwhelm.
Full-Day Intensive Courses (6Hours)
Comprehensive healing containers where we combine different therapeutic modalities. We might start with exploration to identify patterns, move into Brainspotting and ART to process stored trauma, and end with ACT work to clarify values and next steps.
Multi-Day Programs (2 Days)
For those ready to completely restructure their relationship with themselves and their lives. Multi-day intensives address multiple layers of trauma, attachment patterns, and core beliefs with comprehensive integration planning.
Who Therapy Intensives Are For
My intensive programs are designed for sensitive women who:
Feel chronically overwhelmed and don't know how to sit still
Have been the "good girl" their whole life and are exhausted from over-functioning
Struggle with toxic relationship patterns that drain their energy
Use substances or behaviors to avoid dealing with difficult emotions
Feel disconnected from their authentic self after years of people-pleasing
Are ready for deep healing, not just symptom management
You might be someone who has learned to equate love with chaos, sacrifice with worthiness, and your own needs with selfishness. Intensives are an optimal way to get you from moving from a place of stuck to a place of freedom and expansion.
Therapeutic Approaches Used in Intensives
Brainspotting Intensives
Brainspotting works with your brain's natural ability to heal by accessing trauma stored in your body. During intensive sessions, we might spend hours working with specific "spots" – eye positions that connect to where emotional activation is held. This allows for thorough processing that creates profound shifts in how you relate to anxiety, your body, and yourself. Therapeutic intensives also allow us the time to target internalized shame, the silent killer and the cause for so much emotional distress.
ACT Workshop-Style Sessions
If you're constantly asking "what do I even want?" – ACT intensives help identify your authentic values underneath all the "shoulds" and expectations. We explore what actually matters to you and develop practical strategies for living in alignment with those values.
Person-Centered Intensive Work
Sometimes what you need most is to be truly witnessed without judgment. I bring my whole self to these sessions – I'm not going to just nod politely while you share your struggles. I'll be real with you, reflect back what I'm seeing, and help you feel genuinely understood.
And More! Because intensives are a premium service, your intensive will come with all the fun bells and whistles such as aromatherapy, yoga, guided meditation, snacks and drinks. If spiritual practices are calling to you, we will incorporate those as well to help you have the most individualized and healing experience.
Accelerated Resolution Therapy

Why Choose Intensive Therapy?
Faster, Deeper Results
Make significant progress in days rather than months. The concentrated format allows us to follow insights wherever they lead without having to stop and restart next week. This is ideal for sensitive women because it can take longer for you to feel safe and relaxed enough to be able to get to the deep stuff- so having hours gives you the opportunity to do months of deep work in just 1-2 days.
Break Through Resistance
Work with protective parts in real-time as they emerge, rather than losing momentum between sessions. By having more time, we will be able to ride the wave of all the parts of you that may show up, allowing you space to explore, reflect and truly heal.
Immersive Healing Environment
Dedicating significant time exclusively to your healing sends a powerful message that this work – and you – matter.
Real-world Integration
Extended timeframes allow us to practice new ways of being and troubleshoot how changes translate into your daily life.
In-Person and Remote Options
I offer both in-person intensive courses at my Lynnwood office and secure online sessions for clients who prefer remote participation. In-person work provides hands-on, immersive experiences with direct connection, while online intensives offer flexibility without sacrificing therapeutic depth.
Many participants find that the choice between formats depends on their specific needs and comfort level. We'll discuss what feels most aligned during your consultation.
What to Expect During Intensive Work
Before We Begin
We start with a free consultation to determine if intensives are right for you. Not everyone is ready for this level of work, and that's perfectly okay. I need to ensure you have adequate support systems and life circumstances that can accommodate the shifts that come with deep healing.
During Your Intensive
I bring my full presence to every minute of our time together. This is a sacred healing space where profound insights, emotional releases, body sensations, or simply deep understanding can emerge. You might also have quieter sessions that are equally important for integration.
We take breaks, check in regularly, and adjust our pace based on what's emerging. I'm not checking my phone or going through motions – I'm completely engaged in your healing process from beginning to end.
Integration and Aftercare
The work doesn't end when our intensive concludes. Integration is crucial, and I provide specific tools and practices to help you maintain the changes you've made. We will schedule a follow-up session or you might continue with regular therapy to build on our foundation.
What to expect before, during and after your therapy intensive
Who Intensives Might Not Be Right For
I want to be honest about who might not be ready for intensive work:
Those who have been suicidal in the past 6 months or have attempted suicide in the past 12 months
People without adequate support systems
Those who prefer gradual, slower processing
There's no shame in preferring traditional weekly therapy – it doesn't mean you're less committed to healing.
Combining Intensives with Other Services
Group Therapy Integration
After individual intensive work, many clients benefit from joining my Women's Group Therapy or Binge Eating Group Therapy. Group work provides ongoing support and opportunities to practice new relationship skills.
Intuitive Eating Therapy
If you struggle with food and body image, we can combine intensive therapy with Intuitive Eating Therapy. Many food-related patterns connect to deeper issues around control, safety, and self-worth that intensive work addresses beautifully.
Ongoing Individual Support
Some clients use intensives as a jumpstart to regular therapy, while others participate in periodic intensives throughout their ongoing healing journey to address specific challenges or create breakthroughs.
Investment in Your Healing
Intensive therapy represents a significant investment in your healing and well-being. Rather than listing specific prices, I encourage you to consider: How much are you currently spending avoiding your issues? What would it be worth to address root causes instead of just managing symptoms?
During your consultation, we'll discuss your specific situation and what kind of investment would be involved based on the type and duration of intensive work that feels right for you.
The Science Behind Intensive Healing
Research supports the effectiveness of intensive therapy formats, particularly for trauma and anxiety. Your brain constantly rewires itself based on experiences, and concentrated exposure to new ways of being accelerates this neuroplasticity process.
Intensives also take advantage of memory reconsolidation – when you recall difficult memories, they become temporarily malleable and can be updated with new information. Extended sessions provide time to work with these memories while they're in this changeable state.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
-
Intensive therapy is an immersive healing experience where we work together for extended periods of time, typically 3-6 hours in a single day or across multiple consecutive days. Instead of spreading your healing across months or years of weekly 50-minute sessions, we dive deep into the work all at once. This format allows us to access deeper layers of trauma and emotion without the interruption of going back to your regular life between sessions. You stay in the healing space longer, which means your nervous system has more time to process and integrate the work we're doing together.
-
Intensive therapy works incredibly well for women who feel stuck in traditional weekly therapy or who have specific trauma they want to address without dragging it out over months. You might be someone who has been in therapy before and made some progress but still feels like something is missing. Or maybe you're dealing with a particular traumatic event, pattern, or relationship that you want to work through in a focused way. I find that my intensive clients are often high-functioning women who have been over-giving for years and are finally ready to prioritize their own healing. If you're tired of small incremental changes and ready for transformation, intensive work might be your answer.
-
I primarily use Brainspotting and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) during intensive sessions because these modalities are designed for deeper, faster trauma processing. Both approaches work with your brain's natural ability to heal itself by accessing and processing traumatic memories in a way that doesn't require you to talk through every detail. I also weave in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Person-Centered Therapy principles to help you build the life you want after we've cleared the trauma that's been holding you back. My spiritual and intuitive approach is present throughout the work, honoring your body's wisdom and the deeper healing that wants to happen.
-
My intensive sessions typically range from 3 to 6 hours, depending on what we determine will serve you best. Some clients do a single full-day intensive, while others prefer to break it into two half-day sessions on consecutive days. The length allows us to move through the stages of trauma processing without rushing or stopping right when you're in the middle of important work. We'll discuss what format feels right for you during our consultation, and I'll help you understand what to expect based on what you're wanting to address.
-
The most important preparation is getting yourself into a mindset where you're ready to be honest and vulnerable. Clear your schedule for the day of your intensive and the day after so you have space to rest and integrate. I recommend eating a good meal beforehand, wearing comfortable clothing, and arranging for someone else to handle responsibilities like childcare or work obligations. Bring water and any comfort items that help you feel grounded. I'll provide everything else you need during our session. After we book your intensive, I'll send you specific preparation guidelines so you know exactly what to expect.
-
After your intensive, you'll likely feel a mix of exhausted and lighter, which is completely normal. Your brain and body have done some serious healing work and need time to integrate everything that shifted. I recommend taking the rest of the day off and being gentle with yourself. Some clients feel immediate relief, while others notice the changes unfolding over the following days and weeks. We'll schedule a follow-up session within a week or two to check in on how you're processing the work and to address anything that's coming up. Many clients continue with regular weekly or biweekly sessions after an intensive to maintain momentum and continue building the life they want.
-
Absolutely. Intensive therapy is incredibly effective for working with binge eating and emotional eating because these patterns are almost always rooted in deeper trauma, anxiety, or dysregulation. During an intensive, we can address both the traumatic experiences that created your coping mechanisms and the present-day triggers that keep the patterns alive. Using Brainspotting or ART, we can process the emotions you've been avoiding through food and help your nervous system learn new ways to regulate. We'll also incorporate Intuitive Eating principles to help you reconnect with your body's wisdom. The focused nature of intensive work allows us to create significant shifts in your relationship with food and your body in a concentrated period of time.
-
Not at all. While intensive therapy is incredibly effective for processing significant trauma, it's also powerful for women who are dealing with chronic anxiety, people-pleasing patterns, burnout, toxic relationship dynamics, or feeling stuck and disconnected from themselves. You don't need to have experienced "big T trauma" to benefit from this work. Sometimes the most insidious wounds are the ones that happened slowly over time, like growing up as the "good girl" who learned to ignore her own needs. Intensive therapy gives us the space to address whatever is keeping you from living authentically, whether that's a specific traumatic event or years of subtle messaging that you weren't enough as you were.
-
I offer intensive therapy sessions both in person at my Lynnwood office and online via secure video platform, depending on your preference and location. In-person intensives allow for a different kind of presence and connection that some clients find helpful for deeper work, plus you get the benefit of being in a dedicated healing space away from your daily environment. Online intensives offer flexibility and comfort, especially if you're coming from outside the Lynnwood area or prefer to be in your own space. Both formats are equally effective because the healing happens through the therapeutic relationship and the modalities we're using, not the physical location.
-
You're ready for intensive therapy when you can honestly say you're tired of going through the motions and ready to do something different. If you find yourself thinking "there has to be more than this" or feeling frustrated that regular weekly therapy isn't creating the transformation you're seeking, that's a good sign. Readiness also means you're willing to be uncomfortable, to look at the patterns and wounds you've been avoiding, and to prioritize your healing even when it feels selfish or scary. I offer a free consultation where we can talk about what you're dealing with and whether intensive work feels like the right fit for where you are right now. Trust your gut during that conversation because your intuition knows what you need.
